#4 RETIRING--William R. Kelly has retired as campus ' patrol officer at Penn State-Wilkes-Barre. Prior to assuming the position of patrol officer, Kelly, of Harvey’s Lake, had performed both maintenance and security duties at the campus. He had attended Officer’s Training School in Camp Hill and several university security seminars. He had prior security experience at the State Correctional Institution at Chase and at the former Stegmaier Brewery in Wilkes-Barre. His wife, Mrs. Pat Kelly, is campus nurse at Penn State-Wilkes-Barre. (Photo by Alex Rebar) Sister Marie Dolores Moore, R.S.M., Ph.D., has been named academic dean of College Misericordia, according to an announcement by Rev. William B. Hill, acting president of the College. An associate professor of music and former chair- person of the music department, Sister Marie Dolores was selected for the chief academic position through a special search process conducted by members of the faculty and administration. She succeeds Sister Carolyn Burgholzer, R.S.M., in the position. Sister is a graduate of College Misericordia with a Master’s degree in Music Chicago. She received her Ph.D. in Music from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Additional study was performed in Europe with Sister earning diplomas from the Ecole Normale de Musique and the Institut de Musicologie, both in France. Miss Charney, a 1979 graduate of Dallas High School, was among twelve contestants representing all the Wyoming Valley High Schools. During high school Tina was co-captain of the cheerleading ‘squad, a member of ‘“Who’s Who Among America’s High School Students”, Student Council, Senior Steering Committee, volleyball and manager of the boys baseball team. Tina will be attending Wilkes College in the fall and is now employed by Franklin Family Restaurant in Dallas. The Unico game will be June 27 at Wyoming Valley West Stadium where Miss Charney will be representing Dallas Senior High School.
