Stephen HONOR SESSIO (Photo by Alex Rebar) An Eagle Scout Award presentation was held recently honoring Edward Gryskevicz. Edward is the son of Edward and ‘Box 128, Dallas. A member of Troop 232, Dallas, Edward’s scouting career began as a Cub Scout in 1968. He was a Hanover Twp. and as a Webelo, he earned the Arrow of Light Award, and held the position of den chief and assistant patrol leader. Edward continued to be active in scouting throughout the years serving as assistant patrol leader, 'librarian, and patrol leader, He was a member of Gischgin Lodge 223 Order of the Arrow and received the Paul Bunyan Award. He earned a total of 27 Merit Badges, including Pets, Bicycling, Archery, Rabbit Raising, First Aid, Forestry, Home Repairs, Gardening, Farm Mechanies, Model Building and Design, Painting, Basketry, Sports, Fishing, Horsemanship, Citizenship in Community, Swimming Management, Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Leather Work, Environmental Science, Communication, Woodcarving, Citizenship in the World, Citizenship in the Nation, Camping, and Mile Swim. Edward is a 1978 graduate of Dallas Senior High School and a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Personnel Dallas. An open house party was held for him in March to honor him on his Eagle Scout Award. Edward is presently employed at Rayco Automazing in Kingston. On April 25 he will enter the United States Air Force as a military specialist. Following basic training at Lackland Air Force Base; costs! and | like it! checking! Texas, he will be sent to Wyoming to continue his schooling. F-N Ambulance holds annual meeting May 7 Annual meeting of the Franklin-Northmoreland Ambulance Association will be held Monday evening, May 7, at 8 in the Orange Fire Hall. Voting on changes in the by-laws of the association will be among the major items on the agenda. Officers .and directors for the year ahead will be elected, and all residents of Franklin and Northmoreland Townships are invited to attend. Diefenderfer of 16 Harris Hill Rd., Trucksville, = was the recipient of the Eagle Scout Award, Scouting’s highest award, at a dinner held on Tuesday, April 17, 1979 at the Dallas Methodist Church, Dallas, Pa. A former resident of Allentown, he has lived in Trucksville for the past year. Rev. Lynn Rothrock, pastor of «St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Shavertown, presented. the charge from the church and Mr, Edgar Hughes, principal of Dallas Sr. High School, the charge from the school. Also on the program was Ambrose Gavigan, Kingston Twp. supervisor, who presented the charge from the community and James Keiper, post advisor of Post 123, who presented the charge from scouting. Charles Thomas, president of Penn Mountain Council presented the pledge of the Eagle. Robert Schooley, scoutmaster of Troop 281, Dallas, and James Barr Jr., scoutmaster of Troop 58, Allentown, made the Ea B= ay a Ey = Ea = ESET = FARMS INC. He has been a member of the senior patrol and the leadership corps in Troop 281. He attended Camp Minsi, Camp Trexler, Camp Schickalimy and Camp Acahela where he will summer. He is a brother- hood member of Gischigin Lodge 223, Order of the Arrow, and is a member of Explorer Post 123. For his Eagle project he distributed Tot Finder Stickers in Dallas.
