LL BAND CONCERT--The Lake-Lehman Symphonic Band Concert, directed by John
Miliauskas, will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31, at 8 p-m. in the high
school auditorium. Featured will be the Band Front. Narrator will be Kevin Wagner. On
Friday evening the John Phillip Sousa Band Award will be presented to two outstanding
musicians by James L. Nicholas, high school principal. The John Miliauskas award will be
presented on Saturday by Donald Cosgrove, president of the Band Sponsors Association.
The Cadet Band directed by Jonathan Pineno will precede the Knights concert. Tickets
may be purchased from any band member or at the door. The public is invited to attend.

SAT’s to be
given Mar 31
The Scholastic Aptitude
Test (SAT) will be given at
Dallas Senior High School,
saturday, March 31. All
\Yjunior students planning to
attend two-year or four-
year colleges should take
this exam. Seniors who
have not yet taken the
SAT’s should also take the
test at this time if they are
planning to attend college.
Students planning to attend
Luzerne County Com-
munity College do not need
to take this exam, but
should plan to take the
ACT’s at a future date.
The doors will open at 8
a.m. Students are
reminded to bring their
admission tickets and two
number two pencils. Walk-
in registrations will be
accepted if the student
brings to the test center a
completed registration
rm, and a check or
money order for $18.

Registrations open
at Trinity Nursery
Registrations are now
being accepted for Sept.
1979 at the Trinity Nursery
School located in the
Trinity United
Presbyterian Church,
Church Street, Dallas.
Morning and afternoon
classes are available for
three and four-year old
children.
The curriculum offers
varied creative aetivities
with materials of all kinds
encouraging the efforts of -
the individual. The child » Ve
enjoys rhythms, songs,
games, finger plays,
stories and
dramatizations. Free play
with small toys, blocks,
puzzles, toys that each and
outdoor plau are still all
part of the program. 5

Several field trips are
scheduled throughout the
year. The children
recently made. a trip to the
Wilkes-Barre General
Hospital where a puppet
show on poison prevention
was presented after which
students were taken on a
tour of the facilities.

Categories were majorette,
color guard and drill team.
