The rogram will include the concert band, stage band, Dudes, and several selections by the grade school band. The senior high concert band will play a varied program of classical, pop and show music. A featured selection will be a trumpet duet by Mark Miller and Gregory Moye, accompanied by Lisa Loke at the piano. Mrs. Grace Lord, majorette advisor, will present the majorettes special routines for two selected numbers. The 80-piece grade school band will be playing their first program for this year. Their numbers include Born Free, Toyland, and a medley of service songs. Ed Lozo, who scored 22 points to pace his team to victory and the District II basketball finals is a junior at Lake-Lehman, enrolled in the college prep course. He is the Son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Lozo of RD 7, Shavertown. He is an excellent athlete as were his two older brothers, who were varsity athletes and starred in football, basketball and baseball. Brother Todd still lives at home but Bill is married and lives in Dallas. During his sophomore year, Ed played on the jayvee basketball team. He plays guard and forward this year on the varsity. He has been on the football team since he was a sophomore, playing of- fensive guard. Ed also is a member of the track team; this is his second year. Last year he distance of 153 feet for a sophomore record. Last year he was on the honor roll but said he only made it once this year due to amount of time he spent practicing for the various sports. When not in school he continues to take an active part in all sports. Ed says that is about all he does when he has leisure time: He enjoys traveling, but has not done much of it. Ed hopes to work this summer, at least part time. Following graduation, Ed plans to attend college and hopefully major in education. He thinks Lake-Lehman High School is great because it is small enough that everyone knows one another and there is more freedom. He said that students also have a variety of courses from which to select. Ed said that it would be nice to have a student lounge. They had one, at one time, but he doesn’t know what happened. “Looking ahead, Ed said that he had met the new football coach and that he was looking forward to going out for football again next year. The program will be presented by Mrs. Connie Runyon and Ms. Barbara Graham, Scranton School for the Deaf. Mrs. Runyon has a masters in education of the deaf from Penn State. She works with the Parent-Infant program at the school. Ms. Graham has an M.S. in audiology from Columbia. She has taught at the Scranton School for the Deaf for four years. There program will be an audio-visual presentation concerning the students in action. The PTA extends an invitation to any interested person who would like to attend. Babysitting will be provided. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Price of Shavertown, Pam has two brothers, Joe, living in Wilkes-Barre and John, junior at GAR. She also has a sister, Kim, a student in Dallas Junior High School. Pam came to the Back Mountain area from Wilkes-Barre when she was in ninth grade. She has been a member of the varsity hockey team for the past three years and has played the position of goalie. In 10th grade, Pam played centerfield with the softball team. She went out for track in 10th grade but dropped out in 11th because of an injury. This year Pam is out for track again and hopes to participate in the triple jump and the long jump. A student in the business course at Dallas, Pam also works as a student assistant in the high school office. She also took fashion designing in school and makes her own clothes. Recently she completed several ensembles for the spring. Pam is an ardent rollerskating fan and skates several times weekly. She does both figure and dance skating. She also enjoys horseback riding. In the summer she goes with her family to their cottage at Harveys Lake where she does a lot of swimming and water skiing. Pam enjoys art and does a lot of pen sketching and water colors. Her favorite is still life. She likes to travel and has been through the southern states. During the summer they usually spend some time at the Jersey shore. Following = graduation Pam hopes to attend business college before pursuing a career in the business world. Pam loves working in the high school office especially with Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Yankowski, whom she says are very pleasant and who have assisted her in learning proper business procedure. ‘They are always willing to help the students,” said Pam. Pam said that she really appreciates the new ad- ministration in the high school especially the en- forcement of discipline. She believes it is good for the students to learn to respect rules and the rights of others. She also likes the teachers who are very friendly and willing to help the students. She does believe that at least the seniors should be allowed to go off campus for lunch. She also is in favor of letters being awarded to athletes rather than certificates or plaques. Lehman Class of 1959 will meet at Mark II Restaurant, Dallas, March 21, 7:30 p.m. Any former class members are invited to attend.
