/ PAGE FIFTEEN This week’s Post Spotlight is on Susan Hudak, senior in the college prep program at The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hudak, Susan has a younger brother, John, a freshman at Lake- Lehman. Both students entered Lake-Lehman Schools in kindergarten. Susan has been secretary of her class since seventh grade. She has been in the band since a fifth grade /f saxophone then in seventh grade learning to play the oboe. Now she plays the sax in the marching band and the oboe in the concert band. _Susan’s. musical talent comes naturally since her father is a musician. She has been in District Band this year will play in the Regional. Band at South Williamsport the weekend of March 15, 16 and 17. She also plays in the stage band for the school’s musicals. She has played in the stage band since seventh grade. Susan is interested in publicity and is the publicity - representative for the high school band, a position she has had for the past two years. This year she also is treasurer for the band. Susan also does the musicals. She has been a member of the National Honor Society since junior high school. Susan also likes sports and she has been junior high basketball statistician for the past two years, manager of the girls hockey team and also manager of the boys varsity basketball team. She enjoys attending sports events. She likes to travel and has done some over the a cruise to Nassau on the USS Rotterdam and went to Bermuda twice aboard the USS Statendam. She also has been to Canada and all the eastern states but Georgia and Florida. Susan enjoys ice skating in the winter and swim- ming in the summer. She also plays basketball with the out-of-doors with her Dachsund, Sally, or pony, Star, one will find Susan in some quiet spot with a favorite book. She also takes care of two police dogs for a neighbor. Susan likes the closeness of the students and teachers. at Lake-Lehman. She said the teachers are always ready to help and each one is like a guidance counselor. She would like to see a student lounge for students for use during free periods. Eileen’s choral honors have been numerous. Most recently she placed first among 27 first sopranos in the choral auditions at the District IX Chorus Festival at Abington Heights High School. Being selected for all-eastern; is the highest choral student can achieve. Only a select few are along the entire Nor- theastern seaboard. The conductor for all- eastern chorus will be Evelyn Davidson White, professor of music at Howard = University Washington, D.C. Lisa Jones, senior at was selected by the student council for this week’s In the Spotlight. The daughter of Atty. and Mrs. Edward W. Jones II, Norton Avenue, Dallas, Lisa has an older brother, Cliff, senior at Bishop Hoban High School. The Jones moved to this area when Lisa was only a small child. She entered kindergarten in the Dallas Schools and will graduate this year. Lisa is active in the high school’s athletic program. She has been a member of the hockey teams since a student in ‘junior high school. She plays forward year she was co-captain of the senior high varsity team. i She went out for track in her sophomore year and participates in the 100 and 200 sprints and the 440 and mile relays. Lisa played basketball through junior high and 10th grade but dropped out to become a statistician for the boys team. This year, Lisa was a Queen’s_Court, = —- A student in the high school college prep course, she plans to attend Ship- pensburg State College following graduation. She hopes to major in govern- ment and pre-law. When not busy with school activities, Lisa enjoys downhill skiing and jogging. In the summer Lisa does a lot of swim- ming. She enjoys reading preferably modern novels. She also likes to travel and has done most of it through Cadettes to play Mini-Dunks On Monday, Feb. 19, Lake-Lehman Cadette Girl Scout Troop 706, will hold a fundraising basketball game. The girls and the teachers will play the Dunks. The girls are en- deavoring to raise money to go to the 1980 World Olympics.
