Bonnie James, senior at Lake-Lehman High School, is in the Post Spotlight this week. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. James of Bonnie is a she has twin brothers, Chuck and Scott, students Lehman. Her father is principal at Lehman- Jackson Elementary. Bonnie moved to Oak Hill with her family from Wilkes-barre when she was a student in fifth grade. She likes animals and following graduation from Lake- Lehman, plans to attend Penn State University’s Main Campus where she hopes to major in veterinary medicine. She has been a member of Lake-Lehman High School band for the past six years and plays the bass clarinet. Bonnie also is Key Club. She is a member of the volleyball team, this year marking the fourth year, and also is a statistician for the boys varsity basketball team. Sophomore Tammy Boudreaux is the Dallas High School student in the Post Spotlight this week. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Boudreaux, RD 3, Wyoming, Tammy is originally from Texas but lived outside of New York City before moving to this area when Tammy entered first grade. She likes it here because of the people and because it is a small community where most of the people know one another. Tammy has two sisters, Kristi in seventh grade, and Kyle in third. Tammy is enrolled in the academic course at the senior high school and has a perfect 4.0 average. She is a member of the student council this year and was’ throughout the three years she was in junior high school. During her junior high school years, Tammy played field hockey and in ninth grade was president of the student council. She also played on one of the Back Mountain softball teams. Tammy is very active in the Dallas Baptist Church She is president of the Acteens, the girls organization in the church. Each Wednesday they go to Lakewood Trailer Park to teach a Bible Club of children in first through sixth grades. They also hold youth meetings every Sunday night and plan an activity for once every month. Tammy is secretary of the youth grouop. She is vice president of the sophomore class and this year plans to tryout for track. In junior high she Eileen Borton, a senior at Lake-Lehman High School will participate in the All- State Chorus “Festival as part of the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s con- 10, 15 'and 12. “Eileen has been a first soprano in the Lake- Lehman senior chorus for two years. In her junior year she was selected for both District and Regional Chorus, and, because of her high ranking at Regional Chorus, was selected for both all-state and all- eastern Chorus. All-eastern chorus will be held in Atlantic City in February in conjunciion with the Music Educator’s National Convention. In addition to her choral achievements, Eileen has been a member of the Lake-Lehman band since seventh grade and now serves as band president. She is vice-president of the student council, treasurer of the Future Business threw the shot put but this year wants to run in the 440 relay. Tammy also is a member of the school’s photography club, the Chorus and the Choristers. She plays the piano and takes vocal lessons. Tammy loves to water ski and this year hopes to snow ski. She likes to swim and used to be a member of a swim team. She likes blue grass music but not hard rock. Her favorites are Billy Joel, Steven Bishop and James Taylor. Tammy loves to ravel and every summer goes somewhere. Last summit it ther summer before Oklahoma: This past summer a group came from Tennessee, then during their vacation the Boudreaux’s visited them. The group from Oklahoma also visited here. Tammy received the Hugh O’Brien Award and will represent this area at the Leadership Conference in Lancaster. Tammy said that she believes a lot of the students care about the school and its image and they are working at im- proving its reputation. She believes that the school spirit is greatly improved and that the new assistant principal Brook Hunt has added a lot to the success. She thinks that the teachers really care about the students. She would like to see the school return to awarding letters to the athletes instead of certificates, and also wishes the majority would be heard from instead of the minority. had an active role in the senior play.
