These five men are rebounders and without them we’re lost. “There were an unusually high number of fouls shot in the game, a total of 60, which broke the momen- tum many times. “Our boys made 45 tur- novers. Approximately 12 or 13 can be expected in a game. However, it’s early in the season and our first three games have been on away courts. This situation will improve as time passes. ‘‘Another factor responsible for the high number of turnovers is our change from a slow deliberate offense to a fast- breaking, aggressive-type game. We also have an extremely tough exhibition schedule and although we want to win we also realize that this is going to help us to be a better ball club when the league opens in January. ‘On the brighter side, our shooting improved from 28 percent in the Wyoming Area game and 25 percent in the Bishop Hoban game to 51 percent in the Coughlin game. We also have given all the varsity players lots of playing time thus far in order for them to get game experience and to show us how they can fit into our plans for the up- coming ‘tournament and regular season schedule.” The first technical foul of Brobst’s 20 year coaching career came on what the referee himself called a “chicken call” when the coach stood up to attend to the injured Rick Wilson and to put a sub in the game since Wilson was assessed his fifth foul on the play. %5.95 Prior to the game both coaches were instructed to come out on the floor in case of injury to a player and they would be beckoned on as they were coming out on the court.
