Residents of Jackson Township are invited to bring their children, age 10 and under, to visit Santa Claus. He will arrive at the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department’s hall, Sun- day, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m. ‘ Between 2 and 3 p.m. Santa will hear children’s requests for Christmas and give a gift to each child. - The volunteer firemen are planning a party for the children between 2 and 4 p.m. Children will be able to sit and talk with Santa, choose a gift from his collection, enjoy a magic show and a 20 minute movie film. Refreshments will be served. Township residents are urged to have their 10 year olds and younger attend the annual holiday party sponsored by the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company. The O’Donnell Irish dancers entertained with their many Irish dances and the youngest group captured the hearts of the audience with their perfect renditions. The president announced a bake sale will be held at all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 9 and 10. A church cleaning bee will be Saturday, Dec. 16, from 9 a.m. till noon. Many volunteers are needed. Rev. Patrick D. Healy, pastor and moderator spoke on the faith and petitions of prayer and the love and fellowship of the Christmas season. Miss Judy Williams assisted by Mrs. Myron Williams passed out favors and door prizes were awarded. The officers were presented with corsages. The exhibit will be on display for this entire week ‘from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and on Saturday till 1 p.m. ? Mrs. Lewis was formerly a member of the Roberson Art Center in Binghamton, N.Y. Her work has been exhibited at the King’s Ransom Gallery in Dan- bury, Conn. She has also designed and executed scenery for theatrical productions. Her paintings are in numeroous private collections. Mrs. Kline studied art at Bloomsburg State College as well as through a correspondence course of Famous Artists. The mother and daughter display includes oil paintings of still life and landscapes. Wendy Faux honored at shower Miss Wendy Faux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Faux of Vernon, was honored at a variety shower in Eaton United Methodist Church social rooms Sunday afternoon. The shower was given by her aunt, Mrs. Sandy Faux and her daughter, Miss Lori Faux, and her attendants, Misses Theresa Goodman of Vernon, Miss Lori Mahoney of Eaton and Miss Diane Crispell of Buckwheat Hollow, Noxen. Smith, pastor, will perform the ceremony. Lyons, wife observe anniversary Dallas Borough Chief of Police and Mrs. Edward Lyons will celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary today.
