Dallas Township accident A motorist cutting across a highway to enter a ser- vice station was the cause of a Saturday evening accident along Route 309, Dallas Township Police report. According to police, Jay R. Stine, 20, or RD 1, Noxen, driving a 1972 Volvo, cut across 309 to enter a gas station. Clif- ford A. Vandals attack mailboxes PAGE FIVE A Dallas man, presently serving time in Luzerne County Prison on unrelated charges, was directed by District Magistrate Leonard Harvey to pay in full three fines totaling $371 or serve an additional 90 days. In a hearing Monday, Timothy Noon, 19, of RD 2, Warren Drive, Dallas, was violations stemming from an incident involving a chase by Dallas Borough Police this summer. Noon was cited for fleeing a police officer, possession of an in- toxicating beverage, and reckless driving. Bringing charges was Dallas Borough Ptlm. John Fowler. A fourth charge, operating a vehicle without a license, was dismissed. Noon presently owes $195 in fines stemming from previous traffic violations. A quantity of automotive and mechanical equipment estimated in value at more than $2,400 has been stolen from a garage on the campus of —€ollege Misericordia, Dallas Township Police report. According to police, the theft from a garage at the Mercy Center on the campus was discovered and reported Saturday. There were no signs of forced entry. The items taken included 16 tires on rims, three sets of wrenches, two sets of sockets, two pairs of large pliers, a balpeen hammer, a chain saw, a post hole digger, and a floor jack.
