PAGE FOURTEEN MRS. SARAH DISQUE Mrs. Sarah K. Disque, 87, of Dallas and Bloomsburg died Jan. 25 in Wyoming Valley Hospital where she was a patient eight days. Born in Wilkes-Barre, the former Sarah Ann Keats, she resided in Dallas the last 53 years. Her husband, Henry John Disque, died in 1946. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a housemother at Penn- sylvania School for the Deaf, Germantown. Surviving are sons, Kenneth K., Mount Zion; Richard H. Sr., Dallas funeral director; daughters, Mrs. Alvin Funke, Bloomsburg; Mrs. Myrtis Funke, Mrs. Lucille Bittenbender, Dallas; brother, Wilfred Keats, Wharton, N.J.: sisters, Mrs. Rhea Poad, Arlington, Va., Mrs. Vayette Dressel, Lake Worth, Fla.; 17 grand- children, 20 great- grandchildren. Stearns, 93, of 128 Elmcrest Drive, Dallas, died Jan. 23 in Leader Nursing Center, Kingston, where she was a guest three years. The former Jeanette Myers, she was born May 21, 1884, in Lonaconing, Md., and resided many vears on Rutter Avenue, Kingston before moving to Dallas. Mrs. Stearns was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre. Her husband, Joseph L., a West Side photographer, died in 1951. Surviving are sons, Joseph 1. r., North Carolina; John "M., Rehoboth Beach, Del.; daughters, Mrs. Harold Gittins, Kingston; Mrs. Raymond Stroud, Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren. He was a heavy- equipment operator for Durland Sand and Gravel Company, West Wyoming, and - Banks Sand and Gravel at Chase, retiring several years ago. He was a member of Wyoming Methodist Church.
