Coughlin chalked up three pins in five bouts to give them the three points win. The Mountaineers went , the board when 98-1b. ., Carter produced a 4-2 decison by scoring two takedowns against Chuck Obeid’s two escapes. Coughlin’s 105-1b. Jack Robinson gained the first fall for the Crusaders by clamping Dave Brunges in one - minute. It was Brunges’ first appearance in the varisty lineup. In a close 5-4 bout, Mount Scott Davis came out on the winning end over 112- Ib. Paul Macri. The bout score was tied at four-all in the third period when Davis managed an escape to pick up the win and tie the team score at 6-6. The tie was short-lived when 119-1b. Bob Mahleturned over Mountaineer Fred DeMaria in 4:25. 126-1b. Andy Pinter gave Dallas three points by a quick-moving bout. 2-1b. Jon Davis of Dallas tied the team score at 12-all by taking Larry Shield 6-2. Davis scored jkedown in the first period, reversed Shields in the second and collected a two-point near fall while Shields managed a reversal in the closing seconds of third period. The Mounts 138-1b. Ron Kelley, new to the varsity this season, lost a hard fought 4-1 bout to the Crusaders’ Mike Hasick. Dallas’ Sean Kavanaugh, who went into the meet with an 8-0 record was set back by Banashefski 6-2. Vince Sodrosky was flattened by Coughlin’s Rick Koval in 3:43. Ken Kuderka, last year’s 167 district champ, decisoned Len Roback 6-2 to take the 185-1b. bout. Kuderka scored two on a takedown in the first period while letting = Roback escape for one point. Roback scored a second escape in the second period before Kuderka turned on the heat in the third period to escape, then score a takedown and pick up a penalty point when Roback elbowed him. The Mount’s Dave Pettit went in at heavyweight and took an exciting 3-2 bout from the Crusaders’ Mike Herbert. Pettit chalked up an escape and a takedown while Herbert's best were two escapes. Saturday's match bet- ween the Mountaineers and Lake-Lehman Knights was postponed until February due to weather conditions. The Harveys Lake Rod & Gun Club, Inc. will hold a turkey shoot at the clubgrounds on the Alderson-Kunkle Road on Sunday, Jan. 22, starting at 11 a.m. : Featured will be stan- ding and running deer (for big bore maximum of six /power scopes) and turkey cards for pistols and .22 calibre rifles. The Knights were scheduled to meet the Mountaineers at home last Saturday but the meet was postponed until Feb. 1 due ;to inclement weather conditions. Plans for the monthly meeting scheduled for Jan. 23 of the Susquehanna River Bassmasters were announced by Chet Williams, president of this local bass fishing- conservation group. The meeting will be held at the First Eastern Bank, Dallas at 7 p.m. The recently organized group, an affiliated chapter of the National Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.S.S.S.), has scheduled the showing of a largemouth bass fishing movie filmed along Florida’s St. John’s River. Topics to be discussed will include plans for local tournaments, initiation of a bass-youth program, and club participation in local sports show. A report of the state federation meeting recently held in Harrisburg will be given. The meeting is open to any interested bass fisherman.
