The bride, given in marriage by her parents, selected a white, formal- embroidered Alencon lace. Her matching Juliet cap was accented with a chapel-length silk illusion veil. She carried a bouquet of white roses and pom- pons, with baby’s breath and sprigs of wheat. Smith of Beaumont are invited to attend the open house to be held Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 at their home when they celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. No invitations have been issued. Mr. and Mrs. Smith were married Dec. 19, 1942, in the Northmoreland Baptist Church at Centermoreland by the pastor, Rev. Kenneth Elgina. Their attendants were Mrs. John (Althea) Smith, sister of Mr. Smith, and Ralph Taylor, brother of Mrs. Smith. Mr. Smith is the son of the late Charles Smith of Beaumont and Mrs. Jennie Smith. Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alva Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have resided in the Beaumont area since childhood. Mr. Club to have Christmas party Back Mountain Widows Club will hold its Christ- mas party and regular meeting Dec. 17, 1 p.m., at the Educational Building of the Trucksville United Methodist Church. Music Makers of the Mozart Club, Wilkes- Barre, will entertain under the direction of Marjorie Kistler, accompanied by Margaret Tremayne. President Dorothy Sisco will preside. Smith is self employed. They are the parents of two children: Charles of Beaumont, a member of the faculty at Tunkhannock Area Schools, and Mrs. Joyce , McCawley of Westfield, Pa. Mrs. McHale is a graduate of Dallas High School and received a B.A. degree in English from Wilkes College. She is employed at Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich, Inc., New York City. The groom graduated from Dallas High School and rerceived a B.S. degree in business ad- ministration and ac- counting from King’s College.
