Horse and pet supplies are part of the inventory but enly a small part since the two girls are attempting to bring back their idea of’ a country western store. Visitors to the store will find jeans, jean jackets, gift items, shirts and tops, work shoes, boots, earrings, ' stationery, pictures, lamps, painter pants, lighters, scarves, towels, sheepskin rugs, and ‘many more unusual but practical items. How did it all happen? Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Domnick, Shavertown, was born and raised in the Back Mountain. She ‘graduated from Dallas High School in 1972. She has a sister, Joan, who with her husband Bob Brown, live and teach in Alaska. She is a lover of the out-of-doors, plays tennis, bowls both winter and summer and likes swimming. Jane also likes to play basketball when the occasion permits. Horseback riding is her favorite sport. Jane met Margey while she was working at a restaurant in Kingston. The former Margey Simonds of Plymouth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Simonds, she and the rest of the family lived at Harveys Lake in the summer. A graduate of Valley West High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College, Margey is married to George Miklosi of Nanticoke. She has two horses on her husband’s parents property in Sweet Valley and she and Jane go riding. It was from Margey that Jane learned how to take care of horses. Before they opened their country store they did a lot of riding and used to discuss their dream of opening a business of their own. One night while in the Old Stone Ridge building. From that time, it seemed to progress naturally. The girls did a lot of research, checked prices and planned what type inventory they would carry. In the short time they have been in business, they have increased the items in the store so that there is somcthing for everyone. Hunters, fishermen, sportsmen, or the average Mr. and Mrs. Citizen will find something of interest- either for themselves or as a gift for a friend. The two young ladies ‘Hoof and Paw’ have made the store a friendly place-a place to visit and to browse. They spend most of their time there and have little left for other activities although they do take turns on certain days so each gets some time off. Margey will spend some of “her spare time this month helping with family plans to celebrate her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Chimsic’s, 55th wedding anniversary. Jane spends most of her leisure time in the out-of- doors enjoying some type of recreation. On weekends, however, you will find both of them at their country store ready to greet clients with a friendly smile. * Guaranteed * Insured coverage produced for Rev.
