A meeting of interested parents and members of the Beaumont community was held Sunday to organize a. Little League Auxiliary. The 55 people present agreed that such an organization was a necessary adjunct to the four teams now playing ball in Beaumont. The group will be known as B.A L.L., the Beaumont Auxiliary for Little League. The organization was carried out by Joan Davidson and Marge Creasy. Officers elected were, president, Fred Weiss; vice president, Carl MacDougall; secretary, Judy Ramley; and treasurer, Marge Creasy. Also elected to serve on the executive committee were the managers of the teams, Farm Team, Perry Congdon; Minor League, Eric Phillips; Major League, John Weiss; and Teeners, Chuck Seward. Sponsors included on the executive board are David White of White’s Store, Beaumont, who sponsored an outfitted the new farm team this year, and the Bowman’s Creek Lion’s Club, which has paid charter and insurance expenses for Little League for many years.
