Gifts will be given to several needy families at Christmas. G of H to hold New Year’s dance The Gate of Heaven Parish will hold its Annual Dec. 31, in the auditorium. The theme of the dance will be Winter Fantasy. Dancing and buffet are from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The Back Mountain La Leche League will hold its final meeting of the four part series on breast- feeding and child care on Wednesday, 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Charles Davis, Harveys Lake. The meeting will cover the topics of weaning, child spacing, introduction of other foods, nutrition and discipline. The discussion will be led by Mrs. Jane Borkac of RD 3, Wyoming. All interested women are cordially in- vited to attend this meeting as are their’ nursing babies. = Following the discussion, refreshments will be served. The Daddow Isaacs Legion Auxiliary will hold its annual Christmas dinner Dec. 16 at the Post Home, Memorial Highway, Dallas. A Dutch treat cocktail hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by dinner. Two dollar gifts will be ex- changed. Reservations may be made with Florence Shively by Dec. 10. PAGE SEVEN A unique store will make its debut and closing Saturday, Dec. 11, as the Dallas Junior Woman’s Club sponsors its “Christmas Store’’ from noon until 2 p.m. at Gate of Heaven. The store is unique because only youngsters will be permitted to shop. No ‘adults are allowed as the children shop for Christmas gifts for Mom and Dad, sisters and brothers, favroite aunts, uncles, teachers, cousins and friends. The children will be escorted by Girl Scouts Subscribe to the Post Subscribe to the Post who have volunteered to help the youths shop for such gifts as calendar towels, puzzles, oven mitts with matching pot holders, shoe bags, flashlights and coloring books. Limited budgets are taken into consideration as the majority of the items are priced under $1. The gifts will be wrapped so that there will be no peeking before Dec. 25.
