Nursery plans family picnic The Nursery School of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Dallas, has announced plans for a family picnic on May 27 at 11:30 a.m. in closing for the summer recess. A brief closing ceremony and Bicentennial program will be presented by the students for the parents prior to the picnic. About 100 people are expected to attend the affair. Mrs. Ed Moran will accompany on and Anna Straley Hildebrant, she was born on a farm near Beaumont, September 28, 1880. She graduated from Beaumont High School and taught for three terms in Monroe Township School.- In 1903, she married Albert J. Miller and lived for 38 years on a farm near Orange. They had a son, Russell, affiliated with Luzerne National Bank, and a daughter, Althea, both deceased. For the past seven years, she made her home with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. Friend Hildebrant, Apalachin, N.Y. . She is survived by her brother, Dx: Friend Hildebrant. Funeral services were conducted May 7 from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home, 672 Memorial High- way, Dallas, with the Rev. Douglas Akers, Dallas United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Warden Cemetery, Dallas. MINNIE VAN TUYLE Mrs. Minnie R. Van Tuyle, Abington Apart- ments, Abington, formerly of Harding, died May 6 in Roslyn Convalescent Home. Born in Carverton, the former Minnie DeWitt, she later resided in Harding 1956. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, Leon C., Harding, daughter, Mrs. Norma V. REYNOLDS MIDDLETON Mrs. Reynolds Mid- dleton, 73, of 139 Frangorma Dr. Trucksville, died Friday afternoon in General Hospital. The former = Mary Watkins, she was born Oct. 5, 1902, in Plymouth and resided in Kingston most of her life. Prior to retiring a year ago, she was a housekeeper at Shawnee- on-the-Delaware. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist = Church, Ed- wardsville, and a former officer of its Helpers League Society. Her husband died in 1932. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. E. Charles Coslett, with whom she resided; son, Donald, North Palm Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Harry J. Reese, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. George Reese and Mrs. Jesse Hobbs, Plymouth; brothers, Edward Watkins, Baltimore; David Watkins, Hunlock Creek. Funeral was Monday from Edwards and Russin Funeral Home, 717 Main St., Edwardsville, with Rev. J. Russell Justice, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. A testimonial dinner was held May 4th in the Idetown Church House to honor Bill Casterline for his many years of service to his church. Casterline has kept the church drive plowed for years and removed gar- bage and assisted the church in many ways. A delicious covered dish dinner was served to about friends, after which a program was held. Henry Berkstrausser was master of ceremonies. The Rev. Robert Harris gave a prayer, then Casterline and his family were in- troduced. y The morning worship service for the Lehman United Methodist Charge will examine the place of the church in the founding and growth of America. Special readings from American leaders will be part of the service as will the oldest existing American hymn - “I Love Thy Kingdom Lord,” written by the Rev.
