The winning pitcher was Karen Cook and her teammate Carla Kuznicki slammed a triple. Doreen Askew was 5 for 5 and Barb Hraboski 3 for 3. Kim Morgan and Ann Marie Devlin hit doubles for the White Sox and Kim Reese had 3 nice hits. Lois Faller was the winning pitcher in a very close game between the Dallas Orioles and the Trucksville Tigers. Karen Federici hit a double for the Tigers but the Orioles won 10 to 8. The Orange Raiders beat the Dallas Royals 11-7 led by Lynn Busch with 14 strike outs. Linda Sosnowski had 2 doubles and a single ac- counting for 3 R B I 's. Theresa Baseski has a nice hit and a sacrifice for 3R B I 's and Brenda Button brought in 2 runs. The Royals attack was led by Back Mountain National All Stars advanced to the finals Monday night by defeating the Swoyersville All Stars in an exciting game at the Swoyersville field. The outcome of the game was decided in the bottom half of the sixth inning when the Back Mountain team, trailing 3-0, rallied to forgi@ahead 4-3. Win the score, 3-0, Lou Correale drew a free walk to first, went to second on a walk by the pitcher, then to third on a passed ball. Brian Muldoon hit a hard ball past the pitcher scoring Coreale and he went to second. Muldoon was picked off the bases while trying to steal third. With one out and the score 3-1, Jeff Drugotch drew a free pass to first. John Belle tied the score on a long drive over left centerfield fence. Tom Bevevino put the same game on ice for the Back Mountain team by hitting the first ball pitched to him over centerfield fence. Brad Bullock also had two hits at the plate for the Nationals. Bob Besecker ran his record to 2-0, striking out three and walking three. The Nationals will play Plains All Stars at the Plains field Wednesday night. The highlight of the week was an appearance by Don Casey.head coach of the Temple University basketball, Philadelphia, who conducted both an afternoon and an evening session for the young ball players. This was the 3rd clinic held at Camp St. Andrew this season. Both a grade school basketball clinic and a gymnastic clinic, sponsored by the Scranton YMCA. were held earlier in the season.
