One last footnote to the lovely
double wedding of Linda and
Jane Troup June 22. Their
grandfather, Fréd Burger of
Philadelphia, baked each girl’s
wedding cake and decorated it
according to the design of her
choice. Both were almond fla-
vored pound cakes. Linda chose
a round one and Jane’s was
square. Mr. Burger has been a
baker by profession and an ar-
tist with the icing decorations
for many years.

winter in Miami, where she
attends the University of
Miami.
As a fine arts and theatre
major, Miss Kabeschat is a
dean’s list student with a 3.97
average. She will be in her
sophomore year this fall.
A dedicated student, Sandy,
during her freshman year, had
leading roles in the University
Senior Citizens Center

Center from 10 a.m.-12, July 5.

will be on Fridays for four
weeks.

made with Crown Imperial

of Miami's productions of
“Barefoot in the Park’ and
“Chamber Music.”” She also
was the stage manager for the
university's production of ‘The
Sound of Music.”
This summer Sandy is attend-
ing the London Theatre Insti-
tute at Westfield College for
extensive theatre study. In
London, she will attend between
25 and 30 plays a week, besides
visiting art galleries and
museums, in order tigsee the
extensive collections" pro-
grams, costumes, sceriery, and
personal effects of great actors.
Field trips will include
Stratford on Avon, to visit
Shakespeare's birthplace and to
see the live theatre there;
Hampstead Court, the palace of
Henry VIII, to see his famous
banqueting hall theatre; the
Roman Theatre ruins in North
London; and the famous Abbey.
According to Hank Diers,
chairman of the drama depart-
ment at the University of
Miami, on completion of this
arduous program, the students
are better versed in theatre
than they might be as a result of
formal classroom study. It is an
exhausting program for the
serious theatre student only.
Sandy is presently in Paris to
study plays there.
Future plans for Sandy in-
clude graduate study in theatre
arts. Upon conclusion of her
studies, she would like to go into
stage production.
