The atmosphere at The Newberry Estate recently has been one of wedding bells and daisies. The upcoming double wedding of Linda Troup to Don Brown and Jane Troup to Mike Molnar is the main topic of conversation these days. The bride-elects were honored at a buffet dinner and variety shower at The Newberry Estate Lodge last Monday night. The hostesses were Mrs. Alex Duncan, Mrs. Robert Crawford and Mrs. Cliff Troup. The tennis courts at Newberry were the first ones open for play locally and they have really had a hard workout. Ed Schellenberg, chairman of the recreation committee, has announced that Toby Nagle will be the director of recreation again this year. The pool is scheduled to open weekends starting May 18 thru May 27 when it goes on the summer schedule of seven days a week.
