Slimak, president of the Lake-Lehman School Board and Mrs. Slimak; John Zaleskas, assistant high school principal; and Mrs. Zaleskas; Anthony Marchakitus, high school principal, and Mrs. Marchakitus; Cletus Holcomb and Mrs. Holcomb, president of the Band Sponsors; Gerald Bernstein, toastmaster, and Mrs. Bernstein; John Miliauskas, band director; and Mrs. Miliauskas, and children, Johnny, Nancy and Debbie. Arrangements were in charge of the following committees: Gilbert Tough and Willard Smith, co-chairmen; decorations, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Fielding, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dockeray, Mrs. Marge Oncay, Mrs. Bonnie Adams; Mrighnd Mrs. Donald Cosgrove and ' Mrs. Willard = Smith; reservations, Mrs. Gilbert Tough; and publicity, Mrs. Steen L. DeBarry. Following the dinner, a program was presented. Mr. Bernstein introduced Mr. Slimak, Mr. Marchakitus, Mrs. Holcomb, Mr. Zaleskas and Mr. Miliauskas. Mr. Miliauskas announced that 17 band members had been selected, through competition, to represent the band in District Band this year. They are Sandy Barrall, bass clarinet; Debbie Williams, clarinet; Eddie Ungvarsky, bass; Robert Barski, trombone; Owen Salansky, clarinet; Sue Salansky, alto saxophone; Dale Ehret and David Brown, trumpet; Jackee Houser, flute; Diane Stolarick, clarinet; Harriet Kocher, bassoon; Arthur Carichner, oboe; Debbie Shaw, bass clarinet; Elizabeth Laity, Sue Stepanik and Donna Mahoney, contra-bass clarinet. Senior Band members were introduced by Mr. Miliauskas and were presented with nylon jackets bearing the 'Lake- Lehman Band insignia. Parents accompanied sons or daughters, and mothers helped them into their jackets. Kim Adams then expressed the feelings of the seniors concerning their years as sadness at leaving it, and their wish for the organization’s continued success. Singing of the Alma Mater closed the program. The dinner is held annually as an expression of the association’s pride in the group and appreciation for their hard work.
