Senior D. Sabestinas, with 156 yards on the ground, led the 3.A.R. attack against the Knights to give the Grenadiers ‘heir fourth win against one tie. On the opening kickoff, 5.AR. received, and in 18 plays 00k the ball 71 yards down ield. Sabestintas scored from ‘he one yard line and E. Ras sompleted the conversion to put he score at 7-0. The Black Knights took pos- session of the ball in the second juarter, but fumbled on the first possession again on the Grena- diers’ 11 yard line. A pass interference against G.A R. gave the Knights a first down on the 10, after they had lost ground. With less than five minutes remaining in the se- cond period, J. Grey went across tor the touchtown and C. Yanchik successfully kicked the conversion point. A second drive by the Knights was stopped in the second quar- ter when R. Karpis intercepted G. Naugle’s pass on G.A.R.’s 34 yard line. G.A.R. took complete charge in the second half. On their first possession of the ball, they rushed down the field with M. Rapson making a 21 yard run. With only three minutes re- maining in the third quarter, Suda scored from the one yard line. Rapson converted for two points, and the Grenadiers were in front 21-7. . On the following kickoff, Lake-Lehman’s second play, a pass by G. Naugle was inter- cepted by G.A.R.’s M. Todd on the Knights’ 25 yard line; he took it over the goal line but the touchdown was void because of a clipping penalty against the Grenadiers. The ball was re- turned to the 30 yard line, but several plays later Sabestinas went through from the one yard line to score. The conversion point was unsuccessful, and G.A.R. went ahead 27-7. The Lake-Lehman Knights play the West Side Tech Titans at West Side Tech's field Satur- day at 2 p.m. Mark Skiro, a 15-year old high school student from Mountain- top, rode a Honda to victory in the 125cc amateur class in Saturday’s Pocono Inter- national Raceway Motocross Challenge. Skiro outrode a field Mark Brennan, Lehighton, finished second in the 125cc amateur class while Tim Connolly, Summit, finished third. In the 125cc expert class Scott Wolferberger, Point Pleasant Hans Eckman, Collegeville, finished second; and Harry Rissinger, Sacramento, finish- ed third. The first three in each Latham, Edison, N.J., placed second on a Maico; Tom Schaefer, Iselin, N.J., was third with a Yamaha. The open expert class went to ‘John Savitski, Atlas, on a Bultaco. Scott Wolfersberger, who ‘earlier won the 125cc ex- pert division, finished second riding a CZ. Theodore Thomp- son, Kennett Square, was third on a Maico. Sunny weather offered riders a dry track. Cash prizes were awarded to experts, while nonprofessional riders opted for trophies, to preserve their amateur status.
