Call The Post Toll Free At 825-6868 Conservation District Looks for New Queen Robert Disque, chairman of the Luzerne County Conserva- tion District, has announced that the second Annual Conser- vation Queen Contest will be held Sept. 9 at the Dallas Area Fall Fair. The judging will be from the grandstand at 9 p.m. The contest is open to all sin- gle girls, ages 16 through 21, who reside in Luzerne County. Contestants will be judged on beauty, poise, personality, gen- eral appearance and conserva- tion knowledge. for entering the contest may be obtained by contacting the Luzerne County Conservation District, Box 118, Federal Building, Dallas, Pa. 18612, or by calling 675-0680. Riding Ho 4-H Club On the basis of the grooming and showmanship class held recently at Mohawk Stables, Riding-Ho 4-H Club of East Dallas has seven members who are scheduled to compete in the County Roundup, Aug. 18 at the Lehman Horse Show grounds. Those in the junior division include Jim Barrall, Lynn Heller, Lynn Lewis, and Carol Steele. The senior division is comprised of Tara Geurin, Debbie Mekeel and Donna Schilling. : The show, which will begin promptly at 9 a.m. will feature 28 English and western events. Judges will be Wilson Clap- saddle of Gettysburg and Bar- bara Robinson of Allentown. Jody Spinosa will serve as ring- master.
