Monk, who was a member of the Dallas High School graduating class. David Jenkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jenkins, Perrin Avenue, Shavertown, received his Baccalaureate degree in business administration from Bloomsburg State College during recent graduation cere- monies. Karen Daley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daley, is a patient in Community Medical Center; Scranton, where she underwent back surgery today. Her friends wish her well and a 1973 speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Monk, Lehigh Street, entertained friends and relatives at a party held June 10 at Lake Teja in honor of their sons, Earl, who graduated last Friday from Dallas High School, and Daniel, who was a member of this year’s confirmation class at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Shavertown. Cindy Purvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Purvin, was recently elected as a member of the Conference Youth Team from the Wilkes- Barre District of the United Methodist Church. Alles, Jr. of 95 Lakeside Drive, Harveys Lake, received the degree of B.A. with a concen- tration in psychology-elemen- tary education at the 115th commencement of Elmira College, June 3. While at Elmira, Miss Alles was a reading aide in .the Elmira Reading Clinic and was a member of the Girls’ Athletic Association.
