Mr. Griffiths recently Township Women Form Auxiliary A group of women met recently to discuss the for- mation of a Kingston Township Ambulance Association Auxiliary. : The auxiliary is being organized for the purpose of assisting the Ambulance Association in raising funds for the. construction of an emer- ¢ cy building for the ambu- lauce. The first meeting will be held May 23 at 8 p.m., at. the Kingston Township Fire Hall to make plans for the auxiliary. Members of the Ambulance Association will attend to outline the proposed plans for construction of the building. Any interested women in the Kingston Township area are invited to attend. He will lecture and demonstrate his work May 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also appearing during the week will be Oliver LaGrone, widely-acclaimed black poet, sculptor and educator who will present a demonstration . of sculpture, an exhibit ‘of his works, -and lecture on Afro- American history and art. Mr. LaGrone has appeared before cultural groups in Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New York and Pennsylvania. He has published books of poetry, his first ‘‘Footfalls’ in 1949. Many of his works have been published in leading publi- cations throughout the United States. His poem = ‘‘The Limited” was awarded first prize in the 1966 contest of the Michigan Poetry Society. He will lecture and present a demonstration May 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The display of art works will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The general public is in- vited with no charge for ad- mission.
