Dr. Rudolph Leibeck, clinical chaplain at Clarks Summit, Spoke on ‘‘How Christian Woman Relates to Her Own Sexuality.” Back Mountain Branch of Mercy Hospital Auxiliary met recently at the Franklin Tea House, Shavertown. Mrs. Ted Popielarz presided over the meeting where reports of stand- ing committees were made. It was announced that the auxil- lary will hold a garage sale, May 5, at Gate of Heaven aud- itorium. Mrs. Philip Ansilio Jr., chair- man of the annual bus trip to New York, announced that the bus will leave Dallas at 8 a.m., May 16. Anyone wishing further information concerning the trip is asked to contact Mrs. Ansilio or any member of the auxiliary. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Hoover, Shavertown, have returned home following a vacation in Pinehurst, N.C. Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Monk, N. Lehigh Street, Shavertown, have returned home following a vacation in Florida and South Carolina. Mrs. Bertha Parry, a Ply- mouth resident, is recuperating at the home of her daughter, Elizabeth Soitis, Sutton Road, Shavertown. Mrs. Parry re- cently returned from Wilkes- Barre General Hospital where she was a surgical patient. Michelle Swingle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Swingle, Memorial Highway, Shaver- town, has been chosen to play the lead role as Raina in George Bernard Shaw’s antiwar comedy, ‘Arms and the Man,” which will be presented by the Luzerne County Community College Players, April 6 and April 7. The comedy will be an updated version of the melo- drama with the setting in North Vietnam. Shavertown Branch of Nesbitt Hospital Auxiliary met in the social rooms of St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Mrs. Frank Reiley presiding. Re- ports were given by Mrs. Thomas Bottoms, secretary; Mrs. Walter Andrews, trea- surer; and puppet chairman, Mrs. William Thomas, who announced that Pinkie the Puppet will be 17 years old March 30. Next sewing date is March 28. Next meeting of the auxiliary will be held at New- berry Estates Lodge, April 6, at which time a fashion show will be featured. Guest speaker at the meeting was Sister Cre- scentia, retired faculty member of College Misericordia, who spoke on “You and the Years Ahead.” Jack Jones, Dallas Senior High School football coach, is recovering rapidly from recent surgery in Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, and is looking for- ward to assuming his teaching duties in the near future. Lake Lions Plan Pancake Supper Harveys Lake Lions’ Club will hold a pancake-sausage supper, March 31 at Lake Elementary School, Sandy Beach, Harveys Lake Serving will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are available from club members and at the door.
