The Pennsylvania Association for Retarded Children has an- nounced that hundreds of rides will be held in communities across the Commonwealth. Riders will solicit sponsors from within the community who will pay the cyclist a predeter- mined amount for the mileage they cover during the ride. Linda Olson, Miss Pennsyl- ‘vania, is this year’s featured celebrity. Miss Olson, a music major at Indiana University, Indiana, is organizing a ride in - that community. Linda recently commented, ‘‘I hope we can get hundreds of people to organize rides and thousands of riders to participate.” Proceeds from the ride will go towards direct services for the mentally retarded on both the state and local levels.
