Tables were Symphonic Concert At Masonic Temple The Scranton Area Council of the Philharmonic Society of Northeastern Pennsylvania, under the leadership of Ruth Davies, president met Jan. 3 to discuss plans for the second symphonic concert of the 1972- Temple and Jan. 19 in Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre. The Council is specially concerned with this concert since it is the most extensive of this season. The Bach Magnificat will be the highlight of this concert, and will feature four well-known solists and the concert choir from Bloomsburg. This council also provides the impetus for the area youth concerts; the first one slated for Jan. 18 at 2:45 for all area schools. Tickets are available at Spruce Record Shop and Masonic Temple Box Office prior to the concert. Altar and Rosary To Sell Doughnuts The Altar and Rosary Society of Gate of Heaven, Dallas will conduct a doughnut sale follow- ing all Masses Jan. 13 and 14. Mrs. John Lenahan, Terrace Avenue, is attending a school sponsored by the Internal Re- venue Service in Philadelphia. Margaret Wilk, Linden, N.J., visited relatives and friends in the area Wednesday. William H. Long, Hickory Street, celebrates his birthday today. He will be guest of honor at a family dinner this evening.
