Long, 83, formerly of 83 N. Gates Ave., Kingston, ~ died early Sunday morning in Trailer Park, RD 3, Dallas, where he resided since the flood. He was born at Bethel, N.C., was a food broker with offices in United Penn Bank Building, being engaged in the business from 1936 until his retirement 10 years ago. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kingston, now Church. of Christ Uniting. The funeral was held Wed- ~ Funeral Home. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery. Pe Distriet Five of the Penn Mountains Council, Boy Scouts America, announces the ap- pointment of Bruce M. Robison as district executive. Mr. Robison, 27, is a native of Wellsville, N.Y. He attended the State University of New York in Cortland, N.Y. where he received his B.A. degree in education. Upon graduation he joined the staff of the Greater New York Council where he served for one year as an assistant district executive. His scouting background includes being an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow Member, and four years of service on council camp staffs. Mr. Robison has just completed four years as an electronics technician in the U.S. Navy, being stationed most of the time in Charleston, S.C. and with the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean. He, his wife Nancy, and daughter Darcy will be residing in Kingston as of Jan. 10. District Five includes por- tions of upper Luzerne County and all of Wyoming County. Bruce states that it is his aim not only to extend Scouting to those boys who it does not reach, but to increase service to our present scout units and improve communications within the disctrict. With this in mind he hopes to spend more time in the area and will be visiting Scout and community leaders regularly in order to discuss problems in each community and take positive steps to solve them. Ricky Case, Chanute Air Force Base, Ill, spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Case. He was accompanied by Susan DeProspero, Erie. Elizabeth Munkatchy enter- tained the ‘‘Classmates’’ of the First United Methodist Church Dec. 15. Devotions were led by Mariel Lutes, who read the Noxen Christmas Story. Appropriate hyms were sung, games were played and gifts were ex- changed, after which a delicious lunch was served. Mrs. Albert Ruff entertained at a shower in honor of bride- elect Susan DeProspero at her home Sunday afternoon.
