Apparently Mr. Nesbitt slid through the intersection when he attempted to stop. Damages to both cars totaled $1200. Patrolman Appel investigated. Two 16 year old young men were involved in another ac- cident near Kunkle Corners last Tuesday afternoon, when their car slid into the lane of an on- coming car driven by Elwood Martin, RD 1, Dallas. The boys were taken to Nesbitt Hospital for treatment. Mr. Martin was not visibly injured but com- plained of pain and dizziness and planned to see his doctor. Patrolman Lamoreux vestigated. KINGSTON TOWNSHIP On Sunday night Lena Malm, RD 5, Shavertown was traveling south on Dug Road when a deer darted in front of her car. In SO simple. attempting to avoid hitting the animal, she swerved to the right side of the road where she struck an electrical pole, causing it to break in half. Patrolmen Appel and Stephenson were in- vestigating officers. Late Sunday afternoon there the 309 north of Holcombs Road. John J. Callaghan, Walker Street, Swoyersville, and John Kittrick, Duplan Manor, Kingston, were both traveling north on 309 in the passing lane when the Kittrick vehicle was stopped by an officer directing traffic. When he came to a stop, Mr. Callaghan, directly behind, was unable to do so at the same time and struck the rear end of the Kittrick car. Patrolman Lohmann and Berube in- vestigated. On Friday there was a three car collision on Route 309 at the intersection with Center Street. Percy Love Jr., E. Center Street, Shavertown, and Grant Snyder, Box 81, Eagles Mere, were traveling in opposite directions of the intersection and when the light changed green, instead of yielding, they ran into each other. After they hit, Jack C. Barnes, W. Elm- crest Drive, Dallas, who was heading north at the same time ran info the Snyder vehicle. No one was injured. Last Wednesday afternoon, Leonard Harrison Jr., 45 Holiday Drive, Kingston, lost control of his car on Route 309 at Carverton Road when he slid on some snow. His vehicle then struck a parked trailer in the rear end. Officers Lohman and Berube investigated the mishap. There were no injuries.
