Bispels, former pastor of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Shavertown, returned to the area last week to deliver a truckload of flood relief supplies collected in Kutztown where he is now pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Bispels has organized a group of women from the Kutztown area who come with her into South Wilkes-Barre weekly to assist in the flood area. Fred W. Anderson Sr., North Pioneer Avenue, Shavertown, has returned to his home from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital where he was a surgical patient. Members of ‘the Luther League of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will hold a Halloween party for children of the church, Oct. 31, in the social rooms from 8 to 9 p.m. There will be a parade, games and prizes awarded. All children of the church are invited. Charles Brandt, superin- tendent of the church school of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, has Back Mountain announced that a teachers meeting will be held Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. at the church. Teachers will be instructed in the use of audio-visual equipment and will be given an opportunity to survey available materials. Paul Duncan pastor of the Huntsville Christian Church. This State Assembly is being held in Williamsport Oct. 20, 21, and 22. The Rev. Duncan will be the parade master and lead the procession of banners from the Lycoming Hotel to the Con- sistory Hall. Each church Bulfords Honor Mrs. A. Misson Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bulford entertained at an open house Oct. 15 in honor of Mrs. Bul- ford’s mother, Mrs. A. J. Misson. Mrs. Misson celebrated her 90th birthday Oct. 16. In addition to Mrs. Bulford, her daughter, Mrs. Misson has a son Robert living in Horse- heads, N.Y. A son, Carl, died in 1971, and another son, Donald, was killed in World War II. She also has seven grandchildren. A family dinner was also held at the Franklin Tea House Mon- day evening. Brongos Observe Silver Anniversary and Mrs. Guido J. Mr. Brongo is the son of Mrs. Assunta Brongo, Brooklyn, N.Y., and the late Raymond Brongo.
