Memorial Highway, is recuper- ating at home following surgery in Geisinger Medical Center. Girl Scout Troop 705 will meet this afternoon at 4 in the educa- tional building of Trucksville United Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ondish, 226 Meadowcrest, will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversay tomorrow. Mrs Ondish is the former Ann Bachman of Luzerne. . Mr. Ondish is em- ployed by Charmin Paper Company in Meshoppen. They are the parents of four children. The family attends Sacred Heart Church in Luzerne. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Scholes, Maple Street, spent Tuesday at Hershey Park. They also visited realtives in Stroudsburg. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence M. Searfoss and daughter Christa, Piscataway Township, spent a few days recently with Mr. and Mrs. Marvin F. Scott and family, Sutton Road. Cloverleaf 4H Club met in the municipal building Friday night. Maryann Stephanitis presided. Winter projects were discussed. Members are now taking orders for holly for the coming holidays. Twelve members were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Adams, Cliffside Avenue, were in Harrisburg Tuesday. Mr. Adams attended a meeting of the 28th division ofthe 109th Field Artillery. Cecelia Marie Naperkoski, Holly Street, celebrated her 14th birthday Sept. 18. She was the honored guest at a family party. Mr. and Mrs. David Mathers, Staub Road, returned last week froran Nevada, where Mr. Mathers attended a meeting in Las Vegas of the Jacobson Manufacturing Company of Racine , Wisconsin. Mrs. Conrad Orchard, Cliff- side Avenue, is spending the weekend with her daughter, Evelyn, in Washington, D.C. Hillside Farms, Inc., Hillside Road, has several entries in the sheep show at Bloomsburg this week. Mrs. William Nichols, Warden Avenue, is con- valescing at home after being a patient in Nesbitt Hospital. Bertha Evans, Holly Street, has returned from Vestal, N.Y. where she spent several days with her daughter, Mrs. Hillard Thomas and family. Robert L. Shoemaker, Hickory Street, celebrates his birthday today. He will be guest of honor at a family dinner tonight. Eric Dingle, Orchard Street, and Thomas Jenkins of Shaver- town are on a tour of Europe. Pvt. Paul Peters, son of Jennie Peters, RD 3, Wyoming, has enlisted in the U.S. Army. He enlisted under an option guaranteeing unit and type of duty. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Liddicote, Carverton Road, returned Sunday from Allen- town where they spent several days with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones and family.
