Mr. and Mrs. William Long and family, Hickory Street, have returned after a week’s vacation at Ocean City, N.J. Mame Dymond, former re- sident of Trucksville, now re- siding at Valley Crest, cele- brated her 95th birthday last week. She enjoyed a visit with friends and former neighbors. Mrs. John Walsh and infant son have returned to their home at 210 Clearview Ave. from Wyoming Valley Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. James Nixon Jr., and family, Elm Terrace, have returned from a motor trip to Canada. Some points of inter- est they visited were: Montreal, Toronto, Quebec, and Ottawa. Blanche Atherholdt, Hill Street, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Sheets at Danville. Edward Croom, former resident of Maple Street, has been promoted to the position of sales manager for the Congol- uam Corporation in the Phila- delphia Area. Carolyn Bobeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bobeck, Cliffside Avenue, will celebrate her 12th birthday Saturday. She will be guest of honor at a family party. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shaner, Kingston, are residing at Pad 129, Francis Slocum Park, Car- verton Road. Holly Phillips, Laurel Lane, attended the summer sessions at Pennsylvania State Univer- sity. Floyd Wells, a former re- sident of Elm Terrace, returned Tuesday to his present home in St. Cloud, Fla., after visiting former neighbors and friends in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Miller, St. Cloud, Fla., spent a few days with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Hornack and family, Staub Road. Mr. and Mrs. David Rosnick Sr. will entertain at a family dinner on the holiday weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Albert J. DeLarde, Elm Terrace, will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, Sept. 16. Mrs. DeLarde is’ the former Beverly Kloux of Wilkes-Barre. The couple are the parents of a son, Dominick. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mont- gomery and children, Hickory Street, have returned from New York City, where they visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Philbim and family. Mr. and Mrs. John N. Stokes, Hillside Avenue, will entertain at a family gathering Labor Day. Evelyn Orchard, a teacher of special education in Washing- ton, D.C., will spend the holiday weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orchard, Cliff- side Avenue. College Misericordia To Offer 32 Courses Extension Division Registration for Saturday morning and evening courses for the fall semester at College Misericordia opens at 8:30 Tuesday morning, according to Registrar Sister M. Eloise McGinty, RSM. The registrar’s office will be open to accept students from 8:30 to 4 and 6 to 8, Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 to noon, Saturday morning. Thirty-two courses will be offered by the extension di- vision of the college for this semester. All courses will be open to both men and women and are fully-accredited.
