SNOWDON, JR. RICHARD W. SNOWDON THOMAS KINGSTON Thomas H. Kingston, 3 Tarlton Ave., Dallas, died Sa- turday in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital. He was 69. Mr. Kingston was born in Wilkes-Barre and resided in Dallas the last 34 years. He retired in 1967 from the American Chain and Cable Company where he was em- ployed as an inspector. He was a member of Dallas United Methodist Church and Dr. Henry M. Laing Fire Company, Dallas. He is survived by his widow, Anna; daughter, Jacqulyn Fowler, Woodbridge, Va.; brothers, William, Hudson, N.Y.; Fred, Forty Fort; Arthur, Courtdale; sister, Mrs. J. Edgar Hall, Dallas; six grand- children; step-brother, John Philpotts, Wilkes-Barre. The funeral was held from the Dallas United Methodist Church Tuesday morning with the Rev. Douglas Akers officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Dallas. The English Department of Dallas Junior High School sponsored the second trip of the year, May 6, to Bucks County Playhouse, New Hope. One hundred eighty-four stu- dents, representing grades seven, eight, and nine, viewed the production of “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” a current Broadway success based on Charles Schulz’ s car- toon characters. Participation on the part of the students was strictly voluntary, with each assuming Playhouse his own expenses. Enthusiasm ran so high, however, all avail- able places were taken in March. Arrangements for this enrich- ing experience were made by members ‘of the English De- partment who volunteered their time to serve as chaperons. Due to vacations and increased ac- tivities more volunteers are needed. People who can receive calls and contact other volunteers to do the job requested are especially needed. This requires gy that the volunteer can be reached by phone during a 12-hour period. People to supply emergency transportation are also needed. FISH tries to answer calls for any kind of emergency for residents of the Back Mountain. Through an answering service volunteers can be reached 24 hours a day seven days a week. 4 Volunteers can be of any age.
