Mountain resident, is a patient
in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Harrison has a broken hip
suffered when she fell on the

Dallas Booster Club held its
final film session of the current
football season with the showing
of the film of the Dallas-Lake-
Lehman game. The films were
donated by the Sheehan family
in memory of their father. Jack
Jones, Dallas coach, was
narrator.

her father, Harry Siglin.
Mrs. Samuel Keithline under-
went surgery Friday at Tyler
Memorial Hospital, Meshoppen.

visited Mrs. Howard Yoch, a

home at Mountaintop, and Mr.

Mr. and Mrs. Renford Swire
and daughter of Harrisburg,
spent the weekend with her
father, Edgar Engelman.
Mrs. Nathan Straley has re-
ceived word of the death of her
sister, Mrs. Herbert Grabe,
Mesa, Ariz. She has two sisters
in this area besides Mrs.
Straley. They are Mrs. Edward
Condon, Beaumont, and Mrs:
Homer Meeker, Korn Krest.

Space got a doe Tuesday.
Philip Shafer, Philadelphia,
came last Sunday to take his
wife and daughter, Nancy,
home with him. Nancy and her
parents came to the home of
Dorothy French Thanksgiving
Eve and had to be taken to the
General Hospital for an appen-
dectomy.

Dallas Senior High School will
resume their schedule Jan. 6.
Dallas Senior High School
choral group, under the
direction of Florence Sherwood,
presented a program of
Christmas selections at the
holiday luncheon of Irem
Temple Women’s Auxiliary
held at Irem Temple Country
Club.
Dallas United Methodist
Church School program was
held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Reese
Pelton directed the Dallas
Junior High Brass Choir in
selected carols. Marilyn Miller
accompanied the children’s
choir on the organ. Mrs. Dale
Campbell directed the children.
Mrs. Clyde Duffield was in
charge of a social hour
following the program.
Churchwomen of Prince of
Peace Episcopal Church met
Wednesday at 10 a.m. The Rev.
John Prater delivered the
Christmas message following
the business meeting. Each
woman brought her lunch and
gift packages which were ex-
changed. Dessert was served by
the committee in charge.
Members of the Crown Im-
perialette League held their
Christmas party last weekend
at Brothers Four Restaurant,
Main Street, Dallas.
Thirty girls attended the
smorgasbord dinner which was
followed by program of carols
and Christmas games.
Mrs. Lee Bicking was general
chairman. Mrs. George
Poynton was in charge of the
program.

Misericordia Alumnae
Name Campaign Goal
Fifty thousand dollars has
been set as the goal for the 14th
annual giving campaign being
conducted by College Miseri-
cordia Alumnae Association,
according to Mrs. Willard
Garey, director of the associa-
tion. The annual campaign is
scheduled to begin Jan. 1.
Over 4,000 College Miseri-
cordia alumnae are being
solicited to contribute to the
Greenstreet News

campaign, according to Mrs.
Garey, with regional alumnae
associations being encouraged
to work and contribute as a
group. Money resulting from
the campaign will be used to
promote both the physical and
academic expansion of the
college.
The campaign will be con-
ducted through June 1, 1972. Co-
chairmen for 1972 are Judith
Fenstemacher Stefanik and
Mary King Ginn. Sister Miriam
Teresa, RSM, College Miseri-
cordia president, will serve as
honorary chairman.

Christmas party recently for children in the area served by the
volunteer firemen. Santa Claus, pictured above with a passel of

Florence Finn was granted
permission to serve on an
evaluation committee at the
Ben Franklin High School in
Carbondale March 7 through 9,
1972. Mr. Belles observed that
as a member of the Middle
States Association of Secondary
Schools. it is an obligation of the
school board to provide
evaluation team © participants
when requested to do so.
A request from the Everhart
Museum for a grant of $2,000 to
the museum’s general fund was
tabled after School Board
President Edgar Lashford
commented that such a sum “‘is
neither budgeted nor available”
for a contribution to the
museum.
Programs to be funded by
NDEA Title III monies will be
prepared by Lake-Lehman
educators and administration,
following approval by the
board. Programs must be
outlined and submitted to
NDEA officials for approval
before grants are made. Mr.
Belles indicated that Lake-
Lehman will take particular
interest in developing programs
in the industrial arts area.

Worship services in the
Trucksville United Methodist
Church will be held at 9:30 and
10:50 a.m. Dec. 26. The early
service will feature a special re-
cognition of gifts which have
been made to the church during
1971. Dr. Laurence T. Beers,
pastor, will speak at both ser-
vices on the subject: ‘*After Ad-
vent—What?”’
The Church School will meet
at 10:45 a.m. Class are provided
