The chorale has sung also for Dallas Senior Women’s Club, Altar and Rosary Society of St. Therese’s Church, the guests at Valley Crest Hospital, Welsh Baptist Church at Edwards- ville, and the Wilkes-Barre Quota Club. Festive Hayride For MYF Group Members of the Intermediate MYF of the Trucksville United Methodist Church recently held a night of fun and fellowship for themselves and their guests on a hayride at the Mohawk Stables. Following the hayride they enjoyed music and pizza at Joe's Grotto. THE DALLAS POST, DEC. 16, 1971 Chorale Plans Festive Christmas Concert Season Today (Thursday) the chorale will appear at the United Penn Bank, Wilkes- Barre, at 12:15 p.m. The pro- gram will be broadcast. Mrs. David Wojciechowski, chorale director, issued an invitation to the general public to come to the bank lobby and hear the Seeks Intervention Rudolph E. Shearer, department commander of the Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars, has asked for intervention by President Nixon in behalf of imprisoned Americans who are being held captive on the Chinese mainland. The fate of these unfortunate American citizens should be an item of top priority on the: schedule of the President’s forthcoming visit to China, and his talks with Chairman Mao and Premier Chou en Lai, Commander Shearer believes. Commander Shearer wrote: “It would seem to me that if the Red Chinese are sincere about improving relationships with our government, the release of our citizens would be a step in that direction and would be a gesture of good faith, hopefully being arranged during the visit. Marvin the Mouse Delights Audiences Marvin the Mouse, a hippie mouse with whiskers much too long for his own good, held sway last Friday afternoon when children of Miss Rood’s fourth grade class presented a 15- minute play for their parents and other students of the Dallas Elementary School. Sponsored by Nibble-Nibble Cheese and the Mouse Trap In- surance Company, the play de- picted the struggles of Marvin and his fellow mice when ; trapped by a cat’if the’base- ment of a house. The fourth grade youngsters worked for three weeks learn- ing their lines and fashioning costumes, masks and other props for the play. The humorous skit was presented five times during the afternoon and drew gales of laughter from appreciative play-goers.
