MARTIN Charles Simon Martin, a life- long resident of Dallas, died July 18 at the home of his dau- ghter, Mrs. Merle Conden, with whom he resided. He was 89. Mr. Martin was employed as a carpenter and stone mason prior to his retirement. He also operated a dairy farm for some time. He was a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church. Edith’ NICHOLAS WOLENSKY Nicholas Wolensky, 205 Carverton Road, Trucksville, died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was 54. Mr. Wolensky was employed as a welder for Craft Associates prior to his retirement two years ago for reasons of health. He was a veteran of World War II, having won the Silver Star, Bronze Star and French Citation; he participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of St. Vladimir’s Greek Catholic Church, Edwardsville. The former Mildred Garber, she was born at Antis Township and lived at Harveys Lake for the last five years. She was a member of Beaumont Com- munity Church. She is survived by her hus- band, Norman C. Carolus; son, David, at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel E. Garber, Bir- mingham; three sisters and a brother at Tyrone. PAGE THIRTEEN Cherry Bomb Injures Woman Mrs. Joseph Saraka, Hillside Road, Kingston Township, was treated Saturday for arm and leg wounds caused by a cherry bomb. The injured woman was taken to a private physician. Sutures were required for the arm wounds. Reporting to Kingston Township Patrolman John Appel, Mrs. Saraka stated that at about 4:43 Saturday after- noon a cherry bomb, hurled from a passing car, struck her arm. She said the car was a late model Ford with three young men in the front seat. Patrolman Appel is con- tinuing the investigation.
