“The Crucible”
Tryouts for the cast of this
year’s all school production of
Arthur Miller’s ‘‘The Crucible”
were held last Thursday and’
Friday after school hours. “The
Crucible” is a dramatic play
that deals with the Salem witch
trials conducted by the Puritans
in 1692. The drama is not only a
historical play, but also a par-
able of our contemporary
society. The play, under the su-
pervision of Mr. Hopkins of the
English department, will be
presented April 16 and 17 with
an admission charge of 50 cents
for students and $1.00 for adults.
School jackets
The Student Council has
decided to order an official
school jacket which will be
available for purchase among
the student body sometime in
the near future. The jacket is
described as a fur-lined, royal
blue windbreaker which will
have horizontal printing across
the left side saying “DALLAS.
The price of the jacket has not
yet been determined.
