Sp. 4 Cyphers is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School and entered the service May 21, 1969. He received basic training at Fort Dix, N.J., and had seven weeks of radio school at Fort Dix and 11 weeks at Army Signal School. Fort Gordon, Ga. THE DALLAS POST, MAY 28, 1970 woman's club honors mothers The oldest mother, the youngest mother, the mother with the youngest child, and the mother with the largest number of children were among those honored at a Mother and Daughter tea sponsored recent- ly by the Dallas Junior Wo- man’s Club at the Dallas United Methodist Church. Mrs. Herbert Ward was named oldest mother in atten- dance, while Mrs. William Davies received mention for having the largest number of children. Mrs. James Richard- son was doubly honored as the youngest mother in attendance and the mother of the youngest child. A musical program was pre- sented by the Dallas Woman’s Club Chorale entitled “A "Trip To the Moon.” Under the direc- tion of Mrs. David Wojciechow- ski, the Chorale sang a selection of appropriate songs ranging from ‘‘Aquarius’ to “By the Light of the Silvery Moon’’ and “Moon River.” During the business meeting, presided over by Mrs. Edward Thompson, an amendment to the club’s bylaws was approved making each past president an honorary member of the club and exempt from paying dues. In other business, Mrs. Robert T. Yarashus reported on the nuclear power plant being ‘planned in the Tunkhannock area. The club members also voted to donate $25 to the John Engler Fund. David, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Johns, Lehman, is a trumpet player, a member of the dance band and brass choir, and is a section leader. Both members were com- mended for their cooperation, dedication and helpfulness.
