Blazes, son. of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Blazes, RD 5, Shavertown, received his third award of the Army Commendation Medal Feb. 9 while a student at the Army Command and General Staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Kan. Maj. Blazes earned the award for meritorios service during his last assignment as deputy secretary, Office of the Secretary, Army Infantry - School, Ft. Benning, Ga. The major entered the Army in 1958 and holds the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal and two awards of the Air Medal. The 33-year-old officer re- ceived a B.A. degree at Pennsylvania Military Col- lege, Chester, in 1958.
