She is pictured at the top of this page using one of the teaching machines to learn basic nursing skills. : In the nursing department's auto-tutorial laboratory, each student has the opportunity to utilize these teaching devices to acquire the fundamental knowl- edge and nursing skills through individual learning experiences prior to clinical experience in the hospital. After graduation Miss Shiner plans to work as a staff nurse before attending graduate school. The nursing department at College Misericordia offers the students an integrated program of studies which includes the humanities, sciences and clini- cal nursing experiences. Gradu- ates of the program are pre- pared to work as professional nurses in hospitals and commu- nity health agencies and to at- tend graduate school. Public is invited to visit the Open House.
