Chief Dick Williams has instituted a new program which introduces volunteers to the layout of each school, con- valescent home and other public buildings in the area so that the most rapid evacuation and fire fighting can be carried out. MORGAN Frank L. Morgan, Daven- port Street, Dallas, died sud- denly at his home Feb. 3, fol- lowing a massive heart attack. He was 53 years old. He was born in Beaumont, son of the late George and Hettie Morgan. He was educated in Dallas Township schools, and em- ployed by the Forty Fort Lum- ber Company. Lord, 50, of Hunlock Creek RD, died Feb. 2 at Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day. The former Nancy Cragle was a native and life resident of Hunlock Creek area. Her parents were the late Ira and Catherine Long Cragle. She was the wife of Rev. Harold Lord, pastor of Headley Grove Church. She served for a time as secretary of the Sun- day School. The edifice is the church which was badly dam- aged by fire some years ago, now restored and in use by pastor and congregation. The former Cora Veitz daugh- ter of the late Thomas and Sarah Bartlett Vietz, was born in Jamieson City. She attended Community Bible Church in Sweet Valley. She had lived in the area for 45 years. She and her husband, the late James R. Steinruck, - observed their 51st wedding an- niversary Dec. 27, 1962. Mr. Steinruck died in February of the following year. IVAN Two hours after he had been admitted to Nesbitt Hospital suffering from a heart attack, Francis J. Ivan died Jan. 31. The Chase Manor resident was 40 years old. , Until 14 months ago he had lived in his native Wilkes- .Barre. He was educated at Sacred Heart School and at Coughlin High. For the past 20 years he was employed at Gibbons Brewery. He had membership in Amer- ican Legion, Brookside Post 837; International Union of United Brewery, soft-drink, and distillers workers of Amer- ica; North End Slovak Citizens Club, and Jackson Township Fire Department. : He was a Navy veteran,: Serving in World War II.
