Van Horn Back From War Mr. and Mrs. Robert Van Horn, Lake | Street, Dallas, has returned to the States after seeing much combat in the Vietnam War, The young officer landed at Travis Air Force Base, California on July 16 and was met by his parents and brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Van Horn, Sacra- mento, Cal. He had begun his tour of duty in the war zone in August of 1966, assigned to the 11th Cav- alry Regiment. missioned an officer after graduation from Scranton University in 1964 participated in Operations Attleboro, Manhattan, Cedar Falls, Junction City and Port Sea. In March of this year he was transferred to the 9th Infantry Di- vision operating in the Mekong Del- ta and while there was engaged in Operations Enterprise, Coronado and Palm Beach. After a happy family reunion on the West Coast, the Van Horns returned to Dallas, sightseeing in Yosemite, the Grand Tetons, Yellow- stone and Rocky Mountain National Parks and the Black Hills. Captain Van Horn will leave Sep- tember 3 for Fort Knox, Ky., where he will attend the Armored Officers Career School.
