Strawberry Social There will be an old-fashioned ice cream and strawberry social at the Jackson Methodist Church on Friday, June 30th, beginning at 5 pm. The “Seniors” Sunday School Class, with their teacher, Mrs. Au- drey Vietz, are sponsoring it. Com- plete menu has not as yet been planned, but we will report on that later. In the meantime, circle the date on your calendar, and plan to attend. A bake-sale will be held in connection with the social. Home- made bread, rolls and cinnaman buns are always made for these Jackson Church bake sales, and you have my word for it, they are top quality. Isn't it a pleasant relief to be able to turn on the television or radio again and not be annoyed by the political “spot” announcements? It reached the point at our house that the radio was turned on only for ‘the news. We really enjoyed the warm sunshine on election day, but the wind was a little too cool. It is always nice to greet so many people.
