EXT gE NEW | NEW - RA SLIPS BONUS On Saturday Dottie was invited to be the speaker at ‘the Youth session at Conference. From there she went t, West Pittston to take part in a program at the Ministers’ ‘Wives’ luncheon. Rev. William Reid’s Last Sunday Early in the Conference session some of us knew that we were to lose our pastor. It was the sort of thing, to be expected, for Pastor Rei. ame to this charge in March 2 1957 ten years ago. There have . | been only three pastors in thirty one years. I was the first one ‘to stay longer than five years. You get to think a lot of a pastor in ten years, and a pastor gets to think wd ‘BOOKS! SLIPS! Such atten- i | dance was a tribute to the type of ministry our pastor performed. | There were some there who prob- ably are not ‘there every Sunday. » | Mr. Reid’s ministry was never con- “| fined to the regular attendants at church. His ministry has extended again and again to people who need- ed him, whether or not they were regular at church. On this last Sun- day of his stay with us everybody wanted to see and hear him again and give him a warm handclasp at the door. I was waiting back of the line and saw the real friendship that was felt for him and by him. Every one wishes him and his family God's blessing in his ministry in ¥Q€kes-Barre. He is not looking for an “easy” church to serve, he ’ never had one! D+nald J. Schalk New Pastor Me’ Rev. Donald J. Schalk, who has been pastor at Gouldshoro Meth- odist Church for the past 3 years, has been appointed to the Carver- ton, Orange, Mt. Zion charge. I met Rev.
