    Dallas Schools To Open Doors, Sept. 7, With New Faces
The Dallas School District will
begin the 1966-1967 session onthe
seventh of September with at least
14 new professional employes.
Miss Santina R. Argento, of 158
Vine Street, Pittston, was graduated
from College Misericordia with a
B.S. degreeinthefield of elementary
education.
She has been employed in the
Federal Program under the Ele-
mentary and Secondary Act of
1965 as a junior teacher. Miss
Argento will be assigned to the
Dallas Elementary School.
Mr. James W. Bamrick, of Sans
Souci Mobile Court, Wilkes-Barre,
was graduated from Hanover
Township Memorial High School
and Wyoming Seminary. Heholds
a B.S. degree from Wilkes College
in the fields of comprehensive social
studies, history, and political sci-
ence. While in college, Mr. Bam-
rick participated in wrestling and
was a member of the Letterman’s
Club.
Mr. Bamrick will be assigned to
the Dallas Junior High School, and
will teach social studies.
Mrs. Ann Marie Gries, of Wood-
cliffe Drive, Dallas, was graduated
from Marywood College, Scranton.
She holds a B.S. degree in the
field of home economics and has
taken her education courses at
Teachers’ College, Columbia Uni-
versity. She is presently enrolled in
the summer session at College
Misericordia in the state approved
library courses.
Mrs. Gries will be assigned tothe
library in the Dallas Junior High
School.
Mrs. Marilyn Guerrieri, of 115
East Franklin Street, Shavertown,
Pennsylvania, was graduated from
Elmira College, Elmira, N.Y., with
a B.A. degree in liberal arts. She
is certificated in the field of Latin,
and will teach this subject in the
Dallas Senior High School.
Mr. Robert C. Harding, of 160
Sharpe Street, Kingston, was grad-
uated from Kingston High School
and Wilkes College. He holds a
B.S. degreeinthefield of elementary
education.
Mr. Harding has been employed
in the Federal Program under the
Elementary and Secondary Act of
1965.
Mrs. Janet E. Harris, of 148
Howell Road, Midway Manor,
Shavertown, was graduated from
Wyoming Memorial High School
and Bloomsburg State College. She
also attended Shippensburg State
College for graduate credits. She
holds a B.S. degree in the field of
business education.
While in college, Mrs. Harris
participated in the following activ-
ities: Majorette, Business Educa-
tion Club, S.C.A., Wesley Fellow-
ship, P.S.E.A., Dorm Association,
and sports.
Mrs. Harris will be assigned to
the Business Education Department
of the Dallas Senior High School.
Mr. Albert L. Henning, of Hamil-
ilton Road, R.D. #4, Dallas, was
graduated from Jim Thorpe High

Mr. Eugene J. Howanitz, of 63l
Ridge Street, Glen Lyon, was grad-
uated from Newport Township
High School and King’s College.
He holds a B.A. degree in the field
of Comprehensive English.
While in college, Mr. Howanitz
participated in the following ac-
tivities: Camp on Society, S. N.E. A.
He will teach English in the senior
high school.
Mrs. Margaret W. Johnson, of
203 Carverton Road, Trucksville,
was graduated from Kingston
Township High School and College |
Misericordia with a B.S. degree in
the field of science.
Mrs. Johnson taught science in
the Dallas Junior High School for
for the 1965-1966 school year. She
will be assigned to the Dallas Senior
High School, where she will teach
biology.
Miss Sally Ann Moyer, of 20
Split Rail Lane, Dallas, was grad-|
ated from the Dallas Senior High
School and East Stroudsburg State
College. She holds a B.S. degree in
the fields of health and physical
education.
Miss Moyer has been employed
under the Elementary and Second-
ary Act of 1965 since her
graduation from college. She will
be employed as a physical educa-
tion instructor for all elementary
schools of the Dallas School
District.
Mr. Arno O. Miller, whosehome
is in Mifflinville, Pennsylvania, will
reside on Church Street, Dallas. He
was graduated from Central
County Jointure in Espy, Penn-
sylvania, and Bloomsburg State
College. He holds a B.S. degree in
the fields of German and social
studies.
While in college, Mr. Miller par-
ticipated in the following activities:
German Club, Day Men’s Associa-
tion, and track.
Mr. Miller will teach German in
the senior high school.
Mr. Charles M. Preece, of 421
North Maple Avenue, Kingston,
was graduated from Wyoming
Seminary, Kingston, and Pennsyl-
vania State University. He holds a
B.S. degree in the field of mathe-
matics.
While in college, Mr. Preece was
active in the following: social frater-
nity and intramural sports of all
kinds.
Mr. Preece will be assigned tothe
Dallas Senior High School and will
teach mathematics.
Mr. William J. Schalles, of 574
Sperling Street, West Wyoming,
was graduated from West Wyom-
ing High School and Temple Uni-
versity. He holds a B.S. degree in

Mr. Schalles has had four years
experience in football while in col-
lege, and has played baseball and
basketball.
He will be assigned to the Dallas

Mr. Philip A. Zachary, Jr., of34
Broderick Street, Swoyersville, was
graduated from Swoyersville High
School and East Stroudsburg State
College. He holds a B.S. degree in
the field of elementary education.
Mr. Zachary has been employed
in the Federal Program under the
Elementary and Secondary Act of
1965.
Mr. Martha F. Longmore, of 71
Wyoming Avenue, Dallas, was
graduated from Clarks Summit
High School and Kutztown State
College. She holds a B.S. degree in
the fields of Art Education and
English. She has taken graduate
work at the Pennsylvania State
University.
Mrs. Longmore has taught Eng-
lish in the Dallas Senior High
School as a full-time substitute for
the 1965-1966 school year. She
will be assigned to teach art in the
senior high school for the 1966-
1967 school year.
