The Demonstration team from
Dallas Senior High School placed |
fifth in the school home economics |
contest at the State Farm Show in
Harrisburg. The team received
cash award of $35.00. The Dallas
team was one of twenty-eight com-
petitive demonstrations selected for
presentation from among those sub-

The demonstration titled ‘Here's
How” was an outgrowth of class-
work on a unit concerned with
sanitation in food service. Kathy
S ile, Richard Phillips, Beverly
Dallas Home Ec.
Dickson, Martha McCoy and Bonnie
Barnard wrote the script with the
assistance of their home economics
teacher. The team, composed of
Richard Phillips, Beverly Dickson,
Martha McCoy and Bonnie Barnard,
demonstrated food sanitation prin-
ciples of personal grooming, espe-
cially hand care as well as those
applying to the equipment and
work area. The electric mixer was
used to demonstrate accepted pro-
cedures for cleaning food service
equipment. Temperature control of
bacteria growth and refrigerator
use was also demonstrated. |

Miss Marjorie Rankin, Drexel In-
stitute of Technology, Philadelphia;
and Miss Flora Dowler, Columbia
Gas Company of = Pennsylvania,
Pittsburg.
Tuesday, January 25 at 2 p. m. in
Centennial Gymnasium.
Ninety-two = seniors will receive
the Bachelor of Science degree and
three graduate students will be
awarded the Master of Education
degree in Elementary Education.
Dr. Harvey A. Andruss, College
President, will confer the degrees.
Father Kilburn joined the King’s
College faculty in 1955 as a member
of the philosophy department. He
