Rev. Gilbert Lauds
Church Congregation
Rev. Charles Gilbert, Mt. Zion,
who was a member of the Mt. Zion
church choir which sang at re-
dedication dinner of Center More-
land Methodist’ Church Saturday
night, has this to say:
“That occasion at Center More-
land was significant. That the
church has been radically rebuilt
on beautiful lines is well known
It
is a sanctuary of worshipful colonial
dignity, its entrance recalling old
New England churches with its
stately columns.
“The people themselves have be-
come a ‘‘caring’ congregation, car-
ing enough to work hard. People
who have watched the yearly auc-
tion grow from small beginnings to
an amazingly successful event, have
come to know and admire the dili-
gence of the people.
“Few ever recognize the many
details of arrangement and dedicat-
ed service which go into a project
of this nature. The community de-
serves praise and congratulations
for completing the building . . . and
paying for it.”
