~ BECTION A — PAGE 6 FROM SANTA’S SACK Christmas is the children’s season V8 and this week we dedicate this ~ column to them. ‘Old Santa apparently visited ~ every home in Shavertown on ~ Christmas Eve, bringing a cherished toy to all the little ones in the household. Chatty Cathy dolls were the _ favorite gift of the girls and the ~ boys chose from a wider variety of ~ playthings. Little Patricia Wadas had writ- ~ ten early for a baby doll then de- lighted everyone in the household © by saying she forgot what she wanted but Santa would remember. This was no doubt a coy act on her part to forestall the frequent ques- ~ tioning by her doting older bro- thers. On Christmas morning Santa had remembered her with a lov- ~ able Chatty Cathy baby and a car- riage. iL © Carol Sheldon, her playmate, also received a Chatty Cathy doll 3 and found the day a happy one as she mothered her new possession. Brenda McClure, a little too young last year to comprehend the - meaning of Christmas was real excited when a dolly was waiting under the tree.
