Visit To Nassau
BA Dream Fulfilled
Nancy Dungey, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. William Dungey, James
Street, Shavertown, returned Sun-
day from a ten day trip to Nassau.
Accompanied by a friend, Caro-
line O’Rourke, Plymouth, Nancy
flew from Idlewild, making the
journey in two and a half hours.
' The visit to the Carribbean isle
was the culmination of a long time
dream and fulfilled ‘all expectations.
The girls combed the beach,
glistening in the hot sun, for lovely
shells tucked among the sands. They
visited all the churches, set in prim-
itive beauty and were entranced
by the Weaving Market, where tiny
youngsters plied their craft along-
side their elders.
The pink flamingoes, obtaining
their pink coats from a diet of
shrimp, thrilled the visitors by their
parade in formation, understanding
every word their trainer spoke.
The girls were fascinated by the
gorgeous sunsets and found the
tourist spot to be one of the most
relaxing in the world. :
On their return, they stopped at
Miami, then back to New York City
and home.
