POPE JOHN XXIII
WAS WORLD SYMBOL
OF WARM HUMANITY
Pope John XXIII is dead.
When the passing bell started
tolling the 81 strokes of his
life at Gate of Heaven Church
early Monday afternoon, people
in this area were saddened by
the realization that a great and
goed man had left his work
unfinished.
He might have said, “So
much to do . . . so little time
to do it in.”
This was
warmth
acted as a catalyst for the
frozen springs of world preju-
dice, whose abounding love had
leaped barriers of sectarianism,
embracing the wide world as
his pastorate.
Catholic and Protestant, Jew
and Moslem, Believer and Non-
Believer, Pope John was to the
world a symbol of love and
humanity.

under construction at Kettering, a
suburb of Dayton, Ohio. Tt is sched-
uled for official opening late this
year.
Roger H. (Clausen, pastor of the
local church, asks for support “of
the hospital project by prayers, and
suggests that attention be given to
recruiting personnel to man the new
hospital when it opens to the public. |
During the church's ‘Missionary
Service” immediately after the
weekly Sabbath School program, a
medical personnel resource survey |
will be made in the congregation.
